I notice that there is no web site for the Sikh Supreme Council nor that for the Student Federation. How can we, Kenyan Sikhs, living in the diaspora get linked up with the Council and know or contribute to its activities? Any ideas or suggestions?

SSA to everyone. I think in Kenya we have a huge problem of finding marriage partners and are losing most of our sikh youth to other tribes and races. I propose a forum where sikh youths could get together for friendship and may choose their life partners from our own.

So need more of these and more still for the youth. I know in England we have like a million camps now! I used to attend Sikh missionary Society Gurmat Camps from like 9 – 20 (was a sewadar for 6 odd years, unfortunate I have no hols anymore ot help out USED TO LOVE IT!) Anyhow Chardi Kalaaa!

Sat Sri Akal paji. Im a fellow kenyan Sikh, (now in the US) we talked a while back. hope you remember. i came across ur blog a few weeks ago and reading this announcement about the gurmat camp made me long for a trip back to kenya. Just sitting and remembering brings tears to my eyes – what wouldnt i give for a week to learn more abt. Sikhi and even at a such a doorstep of the Guru where the world fades away – anything to be in Makindu paji. I am so looking forward to pictures and future blogs from the Gurmat camp.
