I have lived in Kenya for about 25 years now but living in a land away from my spiritual home has in itself created that yearning and eager yearning to return. I work as a Graphic Designer and currently, Ill be honest – I hate my job. My mind is not in it. My mind is somewhere else, thinking of Sikhi all the time . . . Sikhi, Sikhi, Sikhi and I keep contemplating an escape and prayerfully beseeching Waheguru to take me away from here and place me in the midst of Panthic seva. I know no other desire, I so want to live my whole life in the service my Guru’s great Khalsa Panth. I’m alone in that dream right now . . . but who knows whose company I just may be blessed with to help realise our common goal – to reunite with our Waheguru . . .
We’re all on a journey, walking onward, back to our Source – our Creator, our Beloved Husband Lord. It’s a journey that anyone should be able to relate to. But we need to understand its essentials, lest we gather too much that would anchor us down. We need to make that progress, and fast, if you are desperate . . . at least I am. Who knows, if there is a tomorrow? But God, in His Infinite Mercy, is ever Gracious . . . Meharvaan, Sahib Mera Meharvaan . . . We need to jump on to this Bus and let the Guru drive you . . . simply enjoy the drive . . . the Destination is not too far, because to those who feel He is close, He most certainly is.
I usually subscribe to a number of inspirational e-newsletters, gatherng wisdom from across different faiths. To me, being a Sikh has given me peace of mind. In another post, I’ll write about what Sikhi means to me and what transformations it has brought into not only my own life, but into those with whom I have interacted with.
In an inspirational message I received in my mail this morning, it speaks of none the better about what exactly is in my mind right now . . .

I say, my tomorrow has come. If WaheguruJi so wills, time to be better has come. No looking back now, I can see my Guru in the horizon, awaiting me with open arms . . .

I am Paramjit Singh from India (Punjab). I am working as Indian Customs Officer (Department of Revenue).
I can clap more than 11600 times in one hour. My record have been entered in Limca Book of Records, I am enclosing scanned copy of the Certificate for your perusal please. While clapping the distance between the hands would be around 3-4 feet and clap could be loudiable upto 250-300 feets. Further My record have been registered ind the UK book of Records too.
Recently, I was invited in Germany(Munich) for participation in the “Event Impossibility Challenger 2006” which held in Nov 2006 where i demostrating my record to whole of the world.. I am among the three Indian and among five Asian who have been permitted to participate in the event.
As regard, clapping in one minute is concered, I can clap more than 280 times in one minute with distance between the hand 3-4 feet and clap audiable upto 300 feets distance.
I can count the numerical from 1 to 350 (1,2,3,4,…….) in one single breath and that too in just 40 second of time span.
My younger brother had performed Non Stop Sit-ups of 7500 times in 3 hours.
My younger brother is going to break one National record for fastest and longest Driving on two wheeler in 4th gear.
I further want to perform my event in other parts of World especialy in front of Punjabi/Indian community. Can u just intimate me the organisation or event managment who orgainse these types of event/festivals.

Sikhi is not merely thinking , Sikhi is doing. When your heart is in what you are doing, then you are being a true Sikh. When you accept that God has put you in the best time and place for your soul, then there is no “hating of your job”. All is joy, all is God. What you learnt in the Gurdwara you bring into your workplace, into your house. You make everything into one ..EK DRISHT ..seeing God in all, seeing Guru in all, all is seva, all is good when your mind accepts the Will of the Lord.

I am at a major crossroad in my life.My past is very colourfull & dark (kalyug) in many ways & plagued with addictions.
I have a big heart & enjoy helping others….and on a couple of occassions tryed to embrace SIKHI,but have been abandoned & dissapointed.Yet Guruji has spared me on many occassions FOR SOME BIG PURPOSE..I walk & breathe here in/on this illusion called EARTH.
I believe that I am seeking for my guide,to help me at my last chance to embrace Sikhi/Life it self.
I am not struggling/using any mood ultering substance(s) at this point in my life.
I AM A WALKING MIRICALE….still alive,and willing to better my self and help other as well. When I first got clean (by a mainstream ex-motorcycle addicts),I stayed clean for approx 7yrs.Within that time frame was able to create a south asian/indo-canadian DRUG/ALCOHOL treatment/councilling clinic.This helped many and later this non-profit organization was also granted to be able to become a TEMPLE…..which I gave/transferred to a good cause as (SEVA).I have relapsed in addiction on a couple of incidents since.
I BELIEVE I AM HERE ON BORROWED TIME…because once again I find myself freed,spared….in search of my GUIDE.My hair as been growing,glowing for only the second time in my life..due to this beautiful women in my life…

I saw your blog and feel the that sikh people are really on top of the world.We sikhs are doing remarkable jobs all over world.I proud of you .people know us but still they have doubt about our religion this because , lack of parchar of sikhi.Being an sikh we have to face a lot of problem ,i heard all the time same question from everybody ,why we keep our hair ,why we dont cut our hair.I am telling them GOD made us like this purposely like this to make diffrence of man and woman.But People are cutting there hairs and beared to look like a woman .Then explanation goest to formation of khalsa by Our Guru Gobind Singh.But what i need is solid/scientific reason of hairs we keep.Any way best regards and gud luck for your efforts to make this area to discuss with our sikh brothers and sisters.

By reading your post , i can see and feel your situation is like a fish who when remain out of water,thinks of water as the ultimate achieve. Gurbani has stated it and prooved it with many examples.
I am deeply moved and very happy to see the sea of sikh brothers want to join for a nobel cause, bhai amritpal ji has done a great job by http://www.saraibooking.com. Many thank and salutes to sikhs like him who are doing seva. I use to do be part of jodaghar seva and i know what immense pleasure it gives.
We need to carry the legacy of Gurus,saints and pass on them to new generation who is getting away from the path of sikhi.
